Larry & Patty: Thank you for allowing me to visit your amazing system. I've never seen a more beautifully laid out AP farm. Very creative and functional.

I'd like to follow up on our discussion about forming a Maui chapter of the HAAA: the Hawaii Aquaculture and Aquaponics Association, of which I am a member. It would be helpful for all, both commercial and backyard farmers alike, to get together periodically to share ideas, pool information and host guest speakers or workshops from time to time. This is still a very new field and it is constantly changing so there is always much to share. If we can get enough people together we should be able to work out better sources of feed and supplies than are currently available and at better prices. I, for one, do not wish to continue feeding my fish GMO corn and soy as contained in conventional trout chow. This is neither healthy nor sustainable. Lets get a group going and change this!

Aloha Nui,

I failed to mention. I joined HAAA last year. A Maui group may be helpful to those of us who want to form a hui to order fish feed, etc., in bulk to save on costs. If you're interested, please leave a comment with contact information.
